The R4 Style Podcast

In Development

Extending the Work into Conversation

The R4 Style Podcast serves as an extension of this work into a different form, focusing on audio storytelling.

The foundation remains the same—lived experience, reflection, and the process of rebuilding a life.

What changes is how that experience is shared.

Why Audio

Writing has always been my primary way of understanding what I’m living through.

It allows for pause. For reflection. For shaping language carefully.

But not everyone connects through reading.

Some experiences are better heard:

In tone

In pacing

In presence

Audio storytelling allows a different kind of connection—one that stays closer to the human side of the work.

What This Will Hold

The podcast will explore the same core elements found throughout the R4 Framework:

The Four R’s — Rock Bottom, Recovery, Resilience, Reinvention

The crossing — moving from the curb, through the crosswalk, toward the other side of the street

Each episode will stay grounded in lived experience.

Not abstract ideas. Not simplified conclusions.

But the reality of what it means to move through change over time.

What I’m Developing

This is currently in a development phase.

I’m taking the time to work through:

Format and structure

The balance between reflection and conversation

How the framework translates into spoken form

How to maintain depth without overproducing

This matters to me.

Because I don’t want this to become something performative.

It needs to remain consistent with the rest of the work.

Different Ways of Engaging

People process experience in different ways.

Some connect through reading and language

Some through visual metaphor

Others through listening and conversation

R4 Style already exists across multiple forms:

Writing — reflective and cognitive

Visual metaphors — spatial and symbolic

Community — shared and experiential

The podcast extends that third dimension.

What It Will Sound Like

This will not be a high-energy production.

It will reflect the same qualities found throughout this work:

Measured

Grounded

Honest

Unrushed

Some episodes may be solo reflections. Others may include conversations that deepen the work.

But all of it will stay aligned with lived experience.

Timeline

There is no fixed launch date.

This will be released when it’s ready—not just to be shared, but to be useful.

Staying Connected

Updates will be shared as the work takes shape.

Closing

This is not an expansion for the sake of growth.

It’s a continuation.

Another way of meeting people where they are—whether they’re at the curb, in the crosswalk, or learning how to live on the other side of the street.
