NOTES FROM THE CROSSWALK: The R4 Style Blog

Reflections From the Space Between

Much of life happens somewhere in the middle—after something has changed but before we completely understand what that change will mean.

That is the space I think of as the crosswalk.

Notes from the Crosswalk is the R4 Style blog and my ongoing place for reflecting on that in-between space.

Some notes begin with a memory. Some with a conversation. Others begin with something ordinary that causes me to stop and reconsider what I thought I understood.

The reflections explore recovery, resilience, grief, identity, disability, aging, community, purpose, connection, reinvention, and the everyday realities of becoming.

They are not instructions.

They are invitations to notice.

I have become increasingly interested in the middle of stories—the days when there is no dramatic breakthrough, yet something within us is still changing. That is often where resilience develops and where new ways of living quietly take shape.

I write from lived experience and offer these reflections in the spirit that guides much of R4 Style:

We Talk. We Share. We Learn.
