WRITTEN REFLECTIONS

Notes from the Crosswalk

Stories from lived experience. Questions for your own crossing.

Life’s changes often become clearer when we find words for them.

Here, I share personal reflections on recovery, resilience, grief, aging, relationships, community, and the continuing work of becoming. Some begin with a turning point. Others grow from an ordinary moment that asks me to pay attention.

Each offers a place to pause and consider what it brings forward for you.

Begin with What Speaks to You

Choose a title, a question, or a theme that catches your attention. Read at your own pace.

You may recognize something you have felt but struggled to name. You may discover a different perspective—or leave with a question you want to revisit.

Take what feels useful. Give yourself room to reflect.

Carry the Reflection with You

After reading, you might write down a thought, talk with someone you trust, or notice how the reflection connects with your day.

Sometimes a few words stay with us long after we finish reading. They can become the beginning of another conversation—with ourselves or someone else.
