People sometimes ask why I wrote three books instead of one.
The answer is that no single book could capture what I've come to understand about life's major transitions.
There are seasons when survival is the central question.
There are seasons when rebuilding becomes the work.
And there are seasons when we discover that growth doesn't end simply because we've reached calmer ground.
Those aren't separate stories.
They're different chapters of one continuing life.
That's why I think of these books as The Crossing Trilogy.
Each stands on its own.
Together, they offer a broader conversation about what it means to build life after disruption.
Every journey has a moment when life changes direction.
This book explores that turning point.
It's about recognizing that something has changed, accepting that the old path is no longer available, and making the decision to move forward—even without knowing exactly where the crossing will lead.
At its heart, it's a story about choosing life.
Not because certainty exists.
Because hope does.

Eventually, survival gives way to another question.
Now what?
Reaching the other side isn't the end of the journey. It's where a different kind of work begins.
This book reflects on rebuilding identity, creating new routines, finding purpose, and learning to live with gratitude for the life that remains while honoring the life that came before.
It's about discovering that rebuilding isn't settling.
It's creating.

There comes a point when the questions become quieter.
Less about survival.
More about significance.
This book explores later life, continued growth, legacy, identity, relationships, gratitude, and the realization that becoming doesn't end with age.
The longer I live, the more I appreciate that life isn't measured only by what I've accomplished.
It's also measured by how I've loved, contributed, learned, and continued to grow.
This book is an invitation to keep becoming.

Explore Book Three →
Although each book focuses on a different season of the journey, none of them offers a final conclusion.
Life rarely works that way.
The questions continue.
New experiences reshape old understandings.
What I believed ten years ago isn't always what I believe today.
That's one of the reasons I continue writing.
The conversation is still unfolding.
So am I.
If this is your first visit, don't worry about choosing the "right" book.
Choose the one whose questions feel most familiar.
You may eventually read all three.
Or you may discover that one speaks to exactly where you are today.
Either way, I hope you'll find not only my story, but opportunities to reflect on your own.
Because the most meaningful book is never simply the one we read.
It's the one that helps us understand our own life more clearly.
The books tell part of my story.
The reflections I continue to write reveal how that story keeps evolving through everyday life.
That's where I'd like to take you next.
